Winterday's Dream

A picture I made when I visited Baltimore Zoo a while back. A polar bear behind the glass which prevents it to roam around and get lunch in a conventional way. Since polar bears are amongst the most active man-eaters it is certainly advisable to look at it from the safety of a massive, shatter-proved glass. I found it quite amazing as I was able to look at the bear so closely. To see just how massive those paws are, not to mention the body. Even though this one is just showing his bottom at the visitors... oh well, it is still quite a nice animal... unless it has a chance to eat you, then it's not so nice.
